Demise of a yellow pencil

My yellow OMNI-Frozen mechanical pencil ran out of its course of scratching on paper this afternoon, after an accidental fall from the table. The head snapped. A quick and I assume, painless death.

It had been with me for 13 long years. Our relationship runs way deeper than that with GQ, Desmond or Kay (and the in-betweens).

It stood by me through uncountable boring college lectures, countless engaging university tutorials, plenty of brainstorming sessions at work in schools, equally plenty of exasperating tuition sessions, and more.

But I'm not very upset about it. I take such 'endings' well. It's when I lose the things I have built a relationship with due to my carelessness, that I have to restrain myself from stamping my own feet.

So... That's it then. Goodbye, my yellow pencil... Hello, pink OMNI-frozen! haha...
